Anniversary Album - 35 years of Spiritual Healing

After two landmark albums, Scream Bloody Gore (1987) and Leprosy (1988), the legendary death metal band Death released their third album, Spiritual Healing, on February 16, 1990 via Combat Records. This album marks a turning point in the band's career.

Spiritual Healing features a progressive, technical songwriting style, frequent changes of tempo, elaborate solos and more. Unlike its predecessors, which dealt with gore-related subjects, this third album focuses on social issues such as abortion and televangelism and genetics, and all with a good production.

Personally, I'd put Spiritual Healing at the top of my Death album ranking. If I had to mention my three favourite tracks I'd write : Living MonstrosityWithin the MindGenetic Reconstruction (this is not a ranking)
