Vicious Witch Records is an independent record label and distro based in U.K that started in early 2021 with the purpose to support underground old school metal bands worldwide
As many similar labels we do have a distro and a record label section that we produce our own releases
The distro section started because I was tired of paying big postage prices to buy the underground releases I wanted from abroad. I thought I wished someone brought these into the U.K…. and that started being me under the Vicious Witch Records banner
Similar with our own releases, being a fan of metal and physical format for 30 plus years, I was trying to buy from smaller bands but lots of them had only digital format…. Considering its very hard for a small band to survive without physical format( I used to play bass guitar in small bands during the 90s and 00s) and my love for it, I dived deep into the underground metal magical world and the journey began…
Mainly its run by myself and I get lots of help from one of my closest friends Bill that is the graphic designer and artistic guru of the label. And of course from my family that put up with a crazy metalhead like me (which is actually not that bad as my wife is a big metal fan too)
Since then we have released 15 diamonds of Old School Underground Metal on Cassette ,CD and Vinyl format plus tons of metal gems on our distro section from other labels. We do also put our bands on publications, support them with promoting their gigs and distribute our releases to as many countries as possible
We have released work from bands all over the world. U.K, Brazil, USA, El Salvador, Spain, Romania, China, Greece and Malaysia
Things sometimes can be tough, long hours at work (the main job- the label is a passion and love for Heavy Metal with no profit), long hours to run the label plus having a family can be exhausting but we don’t give up!
