On 26 July 2025, Algerian extreme metal band Numidian Killing Machine brought their first Algerian tour, the Psychotronik War Tour 2025, to a powerful close with a memorable concert at the French Institute of Algeria in Algiers. After thrilling crowds in Hippone (Annaba) and Thala U Mcen (Tlemcen), the band delivered a furious and intense performance, marked by raw energy combining speed, thrash aggression and dark nuances from black metal.
This final date confirmed the band's solid stage presence, but also the impact of their album Psychotronik Breakdown (released in 2023 via German label Fetzner Death Records) on the actual Algerian metal scene. A highlight for Numidian Killing Machine and all fans of metal in its extreme forms.
The auditorium of the French Institute of Algeria was packed to the rafters, turning into an arena for Numidian warriors. The event drew an enthusiastic crowd of metalheads, artists, and local bands who had come to support the extreme music scene. The audience was mostly young, and even included a few children, who will be able to talk about this concert as they grow up. From the very first notes, the atmosphere exploded: headbanging took over the arena, fueled by the frenetic rhythm of Numidian Killing Machine. The sonic assault, carefully engineered by Redouane Aouamer, the godfather of local metal scene, and a striking light show plunged the audience into a post-apocalyptic universe, perfectly in tune with the band's brutal sound and dystopian themes.
During this long-awaited concert, Numidian Killing Machine performed the tracks from their debut album Psychotronik Breakdown, much to the delight of an enthusiastic audience. Among the most memorable moments of the evening (in my opinion), Dev-Illusion, Marching to Cirta, Blood and Iron – The Reborn Kreation (I repeated the lyrics of this song with the vocalist) and Psychotronik Breakdown, truly electrified the arena, unleashing screams and applause at every break and acceleration. After such a long wait, fans were finally able to experience the intensity of these tracks live, and the performance of each musician proved to be as powerful as it was memorable. (Some video clips from the evening are available in the YouTube playlist at the bottom of the article)
At the end of the concert, the band met with fans for an album signing, while also unveiling and selling their latest T-shirt design for the very first time.
Line-up:
Looking back on the night, the concert in Algiers was a veritable tsunami of sound, unleashed by an intense and relentless performance from Numidian Killing Machine. With a migthy setlist, an electric atmosphere and total communion with the audience, this final date of the Psychotronik War Tour 2025 delivered a show that no one will forget. A triumphant finale for a tour marked by ferocity and authenticity.
